I am thankful, really.
although right now, being all bummed out, I can not accurately list everything I am thankful for. I am thankful tho…..
Congratulations on making it through the first year. Thinking of you.
In many ways the first year is the hardest to get through, but we are ‘kept safe’ from the hardest parts by being in a state of shock. My thoughts are with you as you enter the second year. The shock will be less, but the reality sets in.
Be thankful for any friends and family that help you through your times of need. They are a blessing.
John (almost 5 years and counting)
Yes, John is right in what he says.
And when all these events come round next year — in the calendar’s relentless way — Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, Thanksgiving (we’re spared that one here in Britain): at least you will have lived them once before. You know what fears they hold, and that can conquer them.
And in its strange and illogical way, perhaps that’s more important than you might think.
